Visceral Osteopathy

Visceral Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach that focuses on the mobility and relationships between the body’s internal organs and the surrounding connective tissues, muscles and fascia.

The approach is based on the idea that normal movement of these structures is part of healthy body function. A trained practitioner uses gentle manual techniques to assess areas of restricted mobility and may work to improve comfortable movement of the tissues.

What Can You Expect During a Session?

Your practitioner will first discuss your symptoms and perform a physical assessment.

Treatment is performed using gentle manual contact and controlled movements. Most patients remain fully clothed, although appropriate access to the treatment area may sometimes be required.

The goal is to improve comfortable tissue mobility and complement the patient’s overall rehabilitation program.

Is Visceral Osteopathy a Treatment for Internal Disease?

No. Visceral Osteopathy should not be presented as a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment of diseases affecting internal organs. Persistent abdominal pain, unexplained weight loss, bleeding, fever, vomiting or other concerning symptoms require appropriate medical evaluation.

At Advance Chiropractic, Osteopathy & Physiotherapy Clinic, Akola, Visceral Osteopathy may be combined with:

* Physiotherapy
* Osteopathy
* Chiropractic care
* Manual therapy
* Therapeutic exercise
* Postural and movement rehabilitation

The treatment approach is selected according to the individual’s clinical assessment and rehabilitation goals.

Why Choose Advance?

At Advance Chiropractic, Osteopathy & Physiotherapy Clinic, we take a whole-body approach rather than focusing only on the location of pain.

In Simple Words “Visceral Osteopathy uses gentle hands-on techniques to assess and support the mobility of tissues around the body’s internal structures. It can be used as a complementary approach alongside physiotherapy and rehabilitation.”
